Sneak Peek : This Ones For The Boys....

Sorry if we have been a little quiet on the blog the past week,
it is only because we have been creating new products for those sweet little boys
in your life!
After creating the Mens Shirt Dress for the girls out of Mens Dress Shirts,
I am still left with quite a bit of scraps from the shirt.
Of course I don't want to be wasteful and toss the leftovers so instead I found the perfect
solution.....
a patchwork quilt!

And coming soon are quilted baby bibs also from
the Mens Dress Shirts!

Here at Rags & Riches we are committed to recycling and reusing
as much materials as possible!

Stay tune for a etsy shop update with all of our new boy products!

Is anyone else excited about the upcoming fall season?
I know that here in Arizona everyone cannot wait for cooler temperatures
and for any sign of fall. Most of the time since it doesn't cool
off till the end of October everyone decides to decorate early to give us that fall feeling.

We have created these unique one-of-a-kind vintage pumpkin towers
made of vintage sheet linens to give your home that added piece of character.
Right now we are offering mini and regular size towers.
The mini towers measure 6"H x 5"W and are only $8
and the regular size towers measure 10" H x 8"W and are only $12.

An eco-friendly decoration that can be used all the way through
till the end of Thanksgiving.
These would make a lovely centerpiece or look awesome on your bookself,
even spice up the front door step.
They also come with twine attached and can be hung from your chandelier
or any doorway.

These pumpkin towers come in a varity colors & sizes.
We love custom orders so if you have something in mind
please send me a message @

Etsy Love : Vintage Finds

Besides being a handmade artist trying to live as eco-friendly as possible,
I am also a handmade/recycled shopper!
I have been recently shopping around etsy and here are a couple of items I just could not
pass up.
Above is for my little guy who is due in December.
The listing actually included (3) vintage shirts for such a great deal.
Make sure to check out Mama Fabun's shop.

My sister-in-law is due with her first baby girl
within a week or two of my due date.
I was so excited when I came upon this dress and knew I had to get
it for her.
Check out Vintage Aga's shop and all of it's cute vintage clothes

My little girl will be turning 4 in a couple of weeks
and one of her requests has been to get a new dress.
This dress has little sailboats on it, I know she is going to love it.
She especially likes when I order dresses from the "mail".
This dress is also from Mama Fabun's shop.

I couldn't of found more perfect invitation.
This year we are having my little one's party at the SplashPad/Pool
so when I came across these from Project Random's shop
I instantly had to have them!

Introducing The Wick Hut Candles

Introducing The Wick Hut Candles!
We are now carrying these candles at our store location in Downtown Chandler
@ 105 West Boston Street Chandler, AZ 85225.

I was introduced to these candles at last month's Art Walk in Downtown Chandler
and instantly fell in love.
Being the candle lovers we are at our household it has always been hard to find that perfect candle.
Gold Canyon Candles have always been a favorite but are also a little hard to get a hold of
and a little pricey. We have also tried out the candles at Bath & Body Works and they seemed to work
okay for the most part.
When I look for a candle I look for something with a super strong scent.
Something that is going to travel around the house and make it smell delicious.
These candles are known for their super strong scent
and they come in the most delicious flavors.
There are so many varities it was hard to choose what to stock in the shop.

We currently have the 4 oz. size in the following scents :
1. Butt Naked- Wonderful base notes of granny smith apples and honeydew melon, middle notes of strawberries and pears with a added hint of spice.
2. China Rain- A rejuvenating scent with a clean and refreshing fragrance of floral surroundings, with the added scent of musky rose and fresh midnight rain. A very smooth and relaxing scent to brighten your day.
3. Yuzu-Also known as Japanese grapefruit. Yuzu begins with top notes of mandarin, tangerine, lemon satsuma, and ruby red grapefruit with middle notes of bergamot and base notes of oakmoss. A very nice, fresh scent.
4. Oven Baked Bread- Walk into the wonderful scent of freshly baked bread, straight out of the hot oven.

And in also in the 8oz. size the following scents:
1. Butt Naked- Wonderful base notes of granny smith apples and honeydew melon, middle notes of strawberries and pears with a added hint of spice.
2. Spruce Orchard- A clean and refreshing blend of citrus, pine, and rosemary with a light woody background. A great scent for any room in your house.
3. Coconut Lime Verbana- Fresh coconut, limes and fragrant verbena, warmed by vanilla and musk.
4. Butternut Pumpkin-A blend of butternut squash, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, clove and a hint of vanilla.

The 4oz. candles are only $6 and have a burn time of up to 30 hours
and
The 8oz. candles are only $9 and have a burn time of up to 40 hours.

After trying these candles out everyone at my house is definently hooked!
Not to mention my favorite part is they are all handmade and poured
out of Scottsdale, AZ from a local vendor so you are supporting a local
handmade artist!

Come by are shop and smell these candles for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

About Me

Who am I : My name is Lindsey. I am an Arizona native, born and raised. I have been happily married to the most perfect husband in the world for almost 6 years and we have a little boy, little girl, and I am currently 5 months pregnant with another little boy.

What I Do: Both my husband and I like to dabble in all sorts of arts & crafts. A jack of all trades isn't that what they call it? After my first baby boy was born my husband and I stumbled upon a charming little paper store in Downtown Mesa called Mystic Paper. From there I was hooked and completely indulged into the world of paper arts, scrapbooking, & mixed media. After about a year of learning all the "ins and outs" in regards to paper arts I decided to submit to be on the Mystic Paper Design Team and won a spot for a year on the team. Being able to work with new products each month and do something that I love was such a great experience and truely a treat but soon I became interested in the world of sewing. Quilting especially with vintage fabrics was what I wanted to learn. Next I completely indulged myself into the world of sewing. I started out learning how to quilt and then moved on to simple clothing construction. At the beginning of 2011 I made a News Years Resolution to start living more "GREEN" friendly and decided to start incorporating this into my arts & crafts project. I started brainstorming ways to make unique one-of-a-kind items using recycled fabrics, glassware, and everyday items that don't always get recycled to there fullest potinental. With the help of my husband I believe that we have created and continue to create items that are interesting & different & fun at the same time!

My Favorites: I love anything vintage or antique. I often feel like I missed out on so much not being able to have lived in past decades. I love small business "Brick & Mortar" types of places. I love to shop and support local but also have quite an addiction to Etsy! I am a foodie and love to try new types of restaurants that ofter that quiet charm or have a funky style. I am an Arizona girl at heart and although the dreaded summer months can be long I couldn't imagine it any other way. I love all types of music.....I mean all types from oldies, to rock, to alternative, to classical, country, even a little pop thrown in there I like it all.

I am a very passionate person and pour my heart into my work. I really look forward to sharing with all of you and connecting and meeting others. Have a lovely day and drop me a comment to introduce yourself!
